About

The syndicat de copropriété le Wilfrid-Laurier (a homeowner’s association) and MU came together to create a neighbourhood mural on two adjacent walls facing the green alley behind 1200, East Laurier Street. The two murals were the finishing touches on the green alley project undertaken within the sector’s revitalization and beautification strategy.

Inspired by the atmosphere of Parc Laurier, the mural displays dream-like characters dancing joyfully amidst shapes reminiscent of musical instruments. Quotes from the song, “Pourquoi chanter” by Louise Forestier, a building resident, are written on some of the characters.

This artistic gesture, signed by internationally renowned artist Carlito Dalceggio, brings life to the area, beautifies the space, encourages people to walk down the green alley and offers residents and citizens up-close and personal access to the creative process.
