IN 2026, MU IS CELEBRATING ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating MU’s 20th anniversary means affirming that MU is an essential player in Montr\u00e9al. For two decades, our murals have been created with communities and act as genuine levers for social change. MU has left its mark on the city through large-scale works, its Cultural Builders collection, and its recognized work in neighbourhoods. It is also a school for emerging artists, a driver of school perseverance, and a major springboard for women in a historically male-dominated field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 20 years, MU has been making things beautiful and doing good, proving that it is far more than beautification:
A cultural and social necessity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MU. Transforming Montr\u00e9al Through Mural Art<\/em>, published by \u00e9ditions du passage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s finally here, MU’s long-awaited 20th anniversary book! Needless to say, the excitement is at its peak! A beautiful art book, just the way we like them, that opens the doors to a rich journey through the history of Montr\u00e9al muralism while revealing MU’s behind-the-scenes over the past twenty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This book crystallizes a fact: that art plays an important role in our lives. MU celebrates art, and fights so that, alongside a million other social obligations, it can exist in everyday life in public space, accessible to all.”*<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting September 17, MU is taking over one of the spaces at Galerie-boutique Bref with a colourful pop-up, selling, just for you, 12 mural maquettes in poster format to brighten your walls, along with MU’s book and various other products from our collaborating artists.
