About
Concordia University has partnered with MU to produce a panoramic mural on the Henry F. Hall Building terrace by commissioned artist duo, Hannah Claus, from the Kenhtè:ke community, and Kaia’tanó:ron Dumoulin Bush, originally from Oshahrhè:’on.
The mural Teionihtiohtià:kon interweaves multiple perspectives — sky, water, and land — to activate Indigenous understandings of time, memory and presence.
The artists thank the spaces and beings that shape this territory. These include the sturgeon in Kaniatarowá:nen waters, the white pine whose branches stretch far and wide, the mountain’s medicines, and the beluga, whose tooth was found beneath Sherbrooke Street’s pavement among pottery shards, revealing what lies beneath the urban surface.
