This third mural in the Verdun borough was produced by MU as part of the beautification and revitalization of the sector’s commercial district. The 1,100 square foot mural illustrates artist OTHER’s playful take on life in the neighborhood. It depicts a fellow who, on a warm summer’s day, takes a quick break at the park on his way home from buying groceries to bask in the sun only to realize that he’s polished off more than half his purchases! The mural is poetic, modern and simple, full of life and good humor, in keeping with the Verdun community spirit.
Mural arts workshops were given to the borough’s youth as part of MU’s summer youth program, in partnership with Toujours ensemble and the L.E.A.D. program at the Dawson Community Centre.
