About

This mural, proposed by artist Labrona, reflects his distinctive artistic signature, blending the vitality of urban art with influences drawn from art history. An internationally renowned artist celebrated for his colorful and expressive aesthetic, Labrona draws inspiration from Montreal’s graffiti scene, German Expressionism, Mexican muralism, as well as Byzantine and Flemish iconography.

Situated in the heart of the “village De Lorimier”, this artwork engages in a dialogue with the neighborhood’s youthful and creative identity. The project is part of the ongoing revitalization efforts launched in 2024 by the Société de développement de l’avenue du Mont-Royal.

Shaped by years of artistic practice in the streets of Montreal and supported by a strong background in visual arts, Labrona’s composition offers an explosion of color and movement, embodying the vibrant energy of the area.
