About
For our team, this project was much more than a mural—it was a truly meaningful human experience. Designed for and with children on the autism spectrum, it is rooted in a strong conviction: every child deserves to be seen, heard, and recognized for their sensitivity and talent.
As part of MU’s educational programming, the creative process begins with a collective brainstorming session (one two-hour workshop), a space for open expression where participants’ ideas guide what follows. Based on these exchanges, a mock-up was created by MU art educator Julien Sicre and then approved with the group. Four painting workshops followed (4 × 2 hours). The artist then completed the work over three additional sessions to ensure a finish that remained true to the collective spirit of the project.
Creating this mural meant offering young people a space for self-expression, calm, and beauty—a place where their inner world can take shape with respect and care.
