Celebrating our 20th anniversary means affirming that MU is an essential organization in Montréal. For two decades, our murals have been created by and for communities, acting as genuine levers for social change. MU has left its mark on the city through large-scale works, its Cultural Builders collection, and its recognized work in neighbourhoods. It is also a school for emerging artists, a driver of school perseverance, and a major springboard for women in a historically male-dominated field. For 20 years, MU has been doing beautiful and good, proving that it is far more than beautification: it is a cultural and social necessity.
And because 20 years calls for a big celebration, we are very (what’s the word… immensely!) happy to unveil the first activities that will mark this anniversary year:
