About
Following a brainstorming session with the group of adolescents and facilitators at the Yvon Deschamps Center, illustrator and author Jimmy Beaulieu depicted all the activities that have marked these young people throughout their lives, specifically focusing on their childhood. Starting with sleepless nights at the center in the center of the artwork, featuring pillow fights, he then represented outings to the pool, songs during school bus trips, dance classes, snowball fights, and fireworks.
The young participants were divided into three groups based on age: the youngest from 8 to 10 years old, teenagers from 11 to 16 years old, and facilitators from 17 to 25 years old. These groups had the opportunity to work on the mural and participate in alternating artistic workshops.
