About
As part of a series of creative workshops led by MU at Robert-Gravel School, students explored different painting techniques while contributing to the creation of a collective mural. Ten workshops were held in collaboration with several artists, including a calligraphy workshop with artist Romain Boz, where students learned how to sign their work, and an automatic writing workshop, whose texts now accompany the mural.
A brainstorming session allowed students to choose the theme: mutualism and the performing arts. The symbols featured in the mural highlight the importance of the performing arts and all the behind-the-scenes work involved (set design, lighting, stage sets, sound, writing, etc.). The idea of mutualism is embodied by a hummingbird mask with feather-petals, evoking nature and cooperation.
