Charlotte Parent is an illustrator born in Quebec. In 2017, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Concordia University, where she focused on drawing. She primarily works in children’s literature. In 2023, she released her first two illustrated children’s books—Le bonnet magique (The Magic Hat), published by Comme des géants, and Le premier arbre de Noël (The First Christmas Tree), published by La Pastèque. Charlotte enjoys depicting magic in the ordinary and the tiny. Her illustrations are both gentle and playful, characterized by simple shapes and rich color palettes.
