“From its inception, MU had Jeanne Mance Housing in its sights. ‘It’s the largest and oldest social housing complex in Quebec,’ enthused Elizabeth-Ann Doyle, MU’s artistic director. Regrettably, the group had to vacate the premises it had occupied for about twelve years at the beginning of March to make way for tenants, at a time when housing is in high demand. The mural artists are thus leaving their space, but their works and the journey remain. Let’s revisit this cohabitation in five points.”
