About

On the occasion of Jarry Park’s centennial, the Borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension entrusted MU with the creation of a monumental mural on the bathers’ pavilion, which houses the municipal pool at the heart of the park. The Italian artist Gola Hundun, renowned for his deeply ecological approach, was invited to design this unique work. Inspired by the rhythms of fauna and flora, his creation explores the sensitive connections that bind living beings to the biosphere.

Unfolding across three façades, the mural—composed of plant-like and airy forms—transforms the bathers’ pavilion into a vibrant, meditative visual landmark. A celebration of life at the heart of the city.

In parallel, a community workshop brought together neighborhood residents to create clay bird nests. This symbolic gesture extends the artistic reflection and invites us to renew our perspective on nature and on our role within the urban ecosystem.
