Since january, MU is collaborating with 12 young adults from Centre d’éducation des adultes Champlain (in Verdun), in partnership with the Commission scolaire Marguerite- Bourgeoys. It’s MU’s first experience within the adult education world : Art educator Isabelle Duguay has developed a project tailored to meet the objectives (teamwork and sense of belonging).
Each week, during the after-school mural art workshops offered by MU, participants explored different techniques (tape art, stencils, lettering) and worked closely with the muralist Gene Pendon to create for the Centre entrance hall, a 4-walls mural reflecting their interests and motivations.
We will shortly publish the first pictures AND a stop-motion of their mural’s making of. Meanwhile, here’s a few pictures of the artistic adventures of these amazingly talented young adults!
