From the kitchen to the table, from techniques taught to dishes enjoyed, from ingredient to finished plate, nothing is possible without skilled and dedicated students committed to becoming the next generation. Some hands transform local and international products and present them as works of art, while others serve them with finesse and pair them with carefully selected beverages. All of this is driven by their passion for gastronomy and tourism.
It is this promise of a future rich in flavor and human quality that the artist Mathieu Potvin sought to capture in this mural. Drawing on the students’ precision and ideas, the creative process becomes a meeting point between his world and theirs—one that will endure across time and generations.
A collective work created by the artist Mathieu Potvin in collaboration with the students of the École des métiers de la restauration et du tourisme de Montréal, with the support of art educator Amina Mandour from the MU team.
