About
Created at Habitations Des Erables by muralist Yannick Picard, this 1200 square feet mural reflects the multiethnic origins and immigrant roots of the neighborhood. Key elements include an airplane from which newly arrived immigrants descend, an egg beater blending the cultural communities into one and water as a binding element. The proximity of the Metropolitan highway is the dull, lackluster representation of the city to which it is the people of these various communities who bring color and light.
Sophie Boivin and Karine Fréchette assisted the artist throughout the completion of the mural.
