About
This mural is the result of a collaboration between the Dr Julien Foundation and MU. Colorful, engaging and hopeful, it represents the seven principles on which the rights of the child are based: the right to health and medical care at all stages of development (the heart); the right to freedom of expression (the dove); the right to education and knowledge (the book); the right to equal treatment and solidarity (the hands and arms); the right to have the child’s personal needs taken into account in every decision (the scale); the right to security, to feel protected (the shield); and finally the right to grow up in a loving family and a supportive community (the hands with a heart).
This project is made possible by the Michel Fournelle Family Foundation and the City of Montreal through the Mural Art Program.
