About
The Sud-Ouest borough called on MU to create this mural entitled “Emmène-moi danser ce soir” (TAKE ME TO DANCE TONIGHT). Located in the entrance of the Saint-Henri Library in order to embellish the place, the mural is a representation of the residents of the district and the visitors of the library.
The Saint-Henri library has many seats, work tables, computer stations for adults and children, work rooms and an animation room. The work therefore also represents all the functions and specificities of the place.
This mural was conceived and realized by the artist Jimmy Beaulieu, a Quebecois comic strip author, who was inspired by passers-by and visitors to the library in order to draw the characters present in the work. The colors of the mural refer to the colors of the library’s interior.
He was assisted by Julie Legault-Béliveau, muralist and art educator at MU.
