In order to counter the visual pollution of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), construction site, the Town of Mount Royal (TMR) and the REM called upon MU to adorn the length of the major site’s fence with art. Artist Isabelle Duguay drew inspiration from TMR’s green spaces, and tied in a nod to the city’s signature rose garden located on the other side of the construction site. With visual elements reminiscent of gardens, vegetation and summer light, the artwork is captivating, cheerful and comforting. The site fence is now a bright and floral mural!
