About

Once again this year, MU and L’Office Municipal d’Habitation de Montréal (OMHM) collaborated to create a large-scale mural at Habitations Dupéré. As part of the Parcours ÂME, a green and artistic pathway project connecting Anjou and Mercier-Est, MU is creating a mural at the entrance of this pathway linking the Honoré-Beaugrand metro station to the Dupéré residences. The objective of these works is to contribute to the revitalization, embellishment and vitality of the neighborhood in a green, creative, safe and friendly environment, while actively involving the residents in the process of realization by letting them choose the theme of the mural and the final model.

Following an on-site consultation, the themes chosen by the residents are justice, respect, freedom, equality and the environment. These themes served as inspiration for the artist to imagine a revisited and contemporary Lady Justice.
